Principal's Message
A 2006 California Distinguished School A 2007 Title I Academic Achievement Award Recipient A 2007 Effective Reading Intervention Academy School Welcome to Oakhurst Elementary School, located in beautiful Oakhurst, California, the “Gateway to Yosemite National Park.” Oakhurst Elementary, home of the Oakhurst Eagles, serves 330 students, kindergarten through fifth grade. As a neighborhood public school, we are committed to delivering a quality instructional program to all student groups enrolled in our school. In order to meet the academic and personal needs of our diverse student body, we have developed a full offering of practices and programs. Our aim is two fold; we strive to meet the individual needs of each student and we desire to build a strong school community built upon moral excellence, self respect and compassion for others. The following highlights what makes Oakhurst Elementary School so special:

- Annual “WOW Week” (Week of Words) celebrating literature and authorship
- Annual Spirit Night, sponsored by the Parent/Teacher Club
